And Then I Go
Directed by Vincent Grashaw
USA, Narrative, 99 minutes
Beautiful cinematography and introspective storytelling make
And Then I Go an insightful portrait of the life-altering nature of bullying. Through the eyes of two socially misaligned students, Edwin and Flake, the world is a terrible place. Their only comfort is their friendship and a shared desire to push back against the ugliness of teenage life. With time and changing perspectives the boys begin to drift apart, but outside stresses realign the two, possibly not for the best. And Then I Go is patient filmmaking at its finest.
